Counter Strike New Revealed

Valve finally revealed Counter Strike New after weeks of rumors. It’s an update to CS:GO that will put the game on the Source 2 engine and make some major visual changes.

It also comes with the ability to use smoke grenades that respond and sub-tick updates for servers. It’s got plenty of armchair gamers going crazy but it looks like an incredible upgrade for regular players.

Smokes

Counter Strike New is getting an update that will completely change the method of using smokes in the game. The changes are being described as responsive smokes and will be a major game changer. Smokes will expand to fill spaces and move around objects on the map. They will also respond to the lighting of the games, making them appear more realistic. Smokes will also be able interact with gameplay events. This will provide new tactical possibilities. Bullets, for example, will cause smoke to be pushed to temporarily clear the sightlines. Hex grenade blasts will also disperse smoke obstruction.

Smokes are now more dynamic in the game. Smokes from previous versions were a fixed-shaped object with a limited scope of movement and blocking. But, the smokes are now able to expand to cover the space they’re within and block more of the player’s view when they are in it. This is a significant change that will increase the speed of play and provide both teams with the same view.

Smokes also react to light as well as the weapons and the surroundings in the world space. This will make the smoke feel more realistic and allow players to use it in different ways to gain an advantage over their opponents. This is particularly beneficial during the chaotic 5v5 battles that are sure to happen on every map.

Smokes will no longer be one-way that was a major issue in CS:GO, and allowed players to see their opponents’ locations behind the smoke. Twistzz is a well-known CS:GO professional, says the new system is an enormous improvement for competitive CS2 and will make it more fair for both teams.

Other minor enhancements include adjusting the position of smoke particles to prevent the possibility of seeing through edges, and also changing the smoke overlay images to reflect their camera’s position. Finally, the expiration of smokes has been revised to be more in line with the visuals of how they fade onto the screen.

Loadouts

CS:GO players can now alter their weapon selection prior to the start of each game. The new loadout system allows players to choose the weapon that best fit their style of play and team’s strategy. The updated system also adds new tactical depth to the game, since players must be able to balance firepower and utility.

The CS: GO Update includes numerous other enhancements and changes in addition to the brand new loadouts. The buy menu was completely redesigned. The old buy wheel has been replaced with a customizable grid that shows all purchase options simultaneously. The grid is populated with five pistols as well as five “mid-tier weapons” like submachine guns, shotguns and rifles.

The new system is easy to use and gives players more control over their weapon choices. It will allow them to select the weapons that best fit their style of play, team tactics and play around with various combinations. It will also allow players to test their skills against other players’ loadouts and find out how they compare.

Many players have praised the added flexibility while others have criticised it for deviating away from the fundamental premise of Counter-Strike. They have also raised concerns about how it will affect the specific loadouts for maps and agent skins that are based on visibility.

Despite these concerns However, it is important to note that the new loadout system is still in its infancy, and will go through more thorough testing over the next few months. Some of these issues might be addressed in future updates. It is essential to stay updated for more information.

In addition to the new CS: GO features, the latest update also includes Workshop Tools which can be turned on in the game’s settings menu and enable community contributors to design weapon finishes, stickers, and maps. The update will also live ban players who violate VAC guidelines in matches.

The new CS: GO update is expected to release later this summer. For now, players can check out the full list of updates and features by visiting the official CS: GO website.

Sub-Tick Updates

The server updates the world of Counter-Strike in discrete intervals of time known as ticks. The tiniest delay between a tick’s time and the mouse click of a player could affect a shot’s accuracy, so Valve is doing its best to ensure that CS: GO feels responsive and smooth. A new video highlights the biggest improvements to the game, which is also known as sub tick updates.

Instead of a 64-tick-update each millisecond, CS:GO now uses sub-ticks or, as Valve calls it, “micro ticks”, to communicate with the servers. The client will keep track of each of these tiny increments and transmit them to the server. The server will send the updated game state back to players. The servers will know when you shot, jumped, or peeked.

While a minute-long video is not enough to fully explain everything the video explains that every piece of information sent by clients has a time stamp, and that the server will gather all the information from all players in chronological order before sending it back. According to the video a CS: GO will be capable of sending twice the information as 64-tick CS: GO.

This means that even when the game’s tick rate increases to 128 Hz, it will still be able to respond to your commands instantly and consistently. Micro-tick updates can also reduce input lag by making sure that the server reacts to your actions without any glitches or delays.

Obviously, this is only the beginning of the technological enhancements Valve is making to the game. The company is working on dynamic smoke and particle systems to improve how smoke interacts with the environment and is upgrading all of the maps with high-resolution textures, lighting and models. All CS: GO cosmetics and weapons will be updated with Source 2 tools and features.

Maps

The coming update for Counter Strike New will bring new maps to the game alongside a few classics that are getting facelifts. These updates are being tested in an unspecified beta. The first set includes upgrade and a touchstone map that won’t see any significant changes to gameplay, case revolver whereas other maps have been completely rebuilt or overhauled using the new Source 2 Tools.

Among these, Overpass was redesigned to make use of the engine’s new unified lighting system. The map’s dark underground has been filled with daylight to make it more spacious and less crowded. Smoke grenades have expanded dynamically to fill spaces and interact with the light.

Another map that’s been overhauled is Italy and has undergone an overhaul in texture lighting, structure and texture. The new version is more balanced than the predecessor which was heavily CT-oriented. Fans can expect more classics, such as Aztec and Case clutch Militia, to be revamped in the future.

Although many of these maps remain available in other modes, they’re not being added to the map pool for competitive play. Train is the exception, as it has been removed from Active Duty but will still be played in tournaments. Valve hasn’t yet confirmed whether the other maps that were removed from the pool will be added back.

One of the more controversial updates is one created by Helsingin Sanomat, Finland’s national newspaper. The news organization has been a vocal critic of Russia’s actions in Ukraine and the map takes inspiration from the war-torn city of Donetsk. It’s titled de_voyna, and features a number of references to the conflict.

In the future the developer will be releasing a collection of Source 2 tools for community map makers to make their own maps. This will include features like improved lighting and character reading, as well physical-based rendering systems that produces realistic textures and materials. It will also make real-world objects, such as doors and windows, case revolver simpler to create. The update is set to launch sometime in the summer.
